Ljuta Village

Ljuta is a small village situated on the coast road between the towns of Kotor and Perast.

The village is in a sunny location, being located at the north eastern point of the bay of Kotor. The Stari Mlini restaurant is less than a one minute walk away, and there is a village shop about 100 yards away from the villa. At the far end of the village is a fresh fish delicatessen called ‘Cogi’. This underwent an extensive refurbishment in 2014, and what was previously a fresh fish wholesaler, is now more like a food hall in Harrods selling fresh fish, wines and other delicatessen items.

The Ljuta river (about 300 metres from the villa) is remarkably short – just a few hundred metres long – it emerges from the bottom of the mountains and flows into the bay. It varies from a gentle stream to a raging torrent, but keeps the L:juta end of the bay very clean and reduces the salinity of the sea.

Kotor is easily accessible being just 6 klms away by car, and there is a regular bus service from the village. Kotor has dozens of hotels, restaurants and bars, as well as a casino and several night clubs. There is an extensive deep water harbour front where luxury yachts moor in the summer.
